Brian Lawrence has over 20 years of healthcare and Life Plan Community (CCRC) experience. He began serving Fellowship Senior Living, Inc. as chief financial officer in 1999, and in 2006 added the title of executive vice president.

Meet our Fellowship Senior Living Leadership Team
Mark F. Mazzella has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare, real estate management and development and not-for-profit communities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pace University.
Jack Ellias has been an administrator at Fellowship Senior Living since 1998. Mr. Ellias has more than 25 years of experience working in the long-term care field.
Dr. Arthur Sheppell is a geriatrician in Denville, New Jersey and is affiliated with Morristown Medical Center and Atlantic Medical Group. He received his medical degree from Paul Sabatier University and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Nina Updegrove has served at Fellowship Senior Living since its inception in 1993. She holds a degree in fashion sales and marketing and has worked in retail and wholesale environments.
Ken Post has been with Fellowship Senior Living since its founding in 1996, when he started as the maintenance technician. The first few months of operation was a challenge of day-to-day details, from construction punch list items and the move-in needs of dozens of new residents to setting up procedures and orienting new staff, all while attending to the maintenance needs that large facilities generate.
Rich began his foodservice career at the age of 18 with the United States Army. While in the Army, he served his country and his passion for food and people.
Liz Fandel joined Fellowship Senior Living in 2012 as the director of Helping Hands. In September 2013, she was promoted to vice president of the Fellowship Helping Hands program and currently serves as the vice president of home and community based services.
John DeMaio joined Fellowship Senior Living in 2018 as VP of Plant Operations for Fellowship Village. John DeMaio has over 38 years experience in the healthcare industry with a specialization in Plant Operations including environmental services and refurbishment projects with a proven ability to successfully manage day-to-day operations and preventative maintenance.

Stanley Morin currently serves as Fellowship Senior Living’s chairman of the board. He is a certified public accountant with certifications in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and sole member of Stanley J. Morin, CPA PC.
Paul Achenbach serves as Ceded Reinsurance Contract Manager for Sompo International. Mr. Achenbach is a member of Millington Baptist Church in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University.
Brian J. Kirkpatrick, CPA, has served as audit chair since 2013. Mr. Kirkpatrick is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey, with a degree in accounting. He worked as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Company and then C. R. Bard Inc.
Nan Masterson has been a registered nurse for the past 40 years and has worked in various areas of healthcare, including medical/surgical; burn nursing; public health; home care; hospice; school nursing; private practice; and corporate.
Reverend Rick Morley joined Fellowship Senior Living Board in 2015. Morley has served as rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge since 2009 and dean of the Watchung Convocation since 2012.
Pastor Ted Harvey joined the board of directors of Fellowship Senior Living in 2015. Pastor Harvey was born and raised in East Texas. He received a bachelor’s in radio and television communications from Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1988 with a master’s in religious education.
Jeffrey Zenna is an experienced plaintiff personal injury lawyer and a partner at Blume, Forte, Fried, Zerres, and Molinari, located in Chatham, New Jersey. Jeffrey is a graduate of the City University New York School of Law (J.D., 1991).
George Fricke has been a resident of Fellowship Village since 2013. Mr. Fricke was born in West Orange, New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, with a BS in business administration.
Jack Woods came to Fellowship Village as a resident in 2016 after living in the Somerset Hills area for the prior fifty-four years. A graduate of Dartmouth College, where he received his master’s degree in mechanical engineering, and of NYU, where he earned an MBA and PhD in Finance and Economics; he subsequently taught Corporate Finance and Investments, primarily at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison.
Chuck received his degree in Industrial Engineering at Lafayette College and went on to earn an MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Chuck began his professional career working for the international consulting firm of Arthur D. Little, Inc. in Cambridge, MA.
