Independent Living Testimonials

Hear from our independent living residents and their family members:

“My husband and I moved here 4 years ago when his health was declining. We had done a lot of research on CCRCs in the region, so we believed that the support he’d receive here would be the best possible. It turned out to be even better—in multiple ways–than we had hoped, right to the end of his life. What I did not expect was that being here would be so good for me. I had hoped to stay in my former home, in my former town, forever. But this is much, much better. FV is a wonderfully welcoming, caring and interesting community to be part of, with lots of activities to choose from (and no pressure to choose any), an excellent staff, beautiful and ample grounds, attractive apartments and really good food.”

Assisted Living Testimonials

Hear from our assisted living residents and their family members:

“We liked the area of Fellowship Village, but we have not committed yet. I can’t say anything negative about it. We were able to stay there for 3 days and 2 nights. The first night, we ate in a formal dining room where you choose your own menu. It was very nice. The next night was a buffet; it was good. The rooms were fantastic. We loved it. It’s VERY nice, clean, and adequate. The people were very friendly, and the staff were fantastic. They couldn’t be nicer or more pleasant. We will definitely recommend them to others.”

Memory Care Testimonials

Hear from our memory care residents and their family members:

“My mother has been a resident of Memory Care for over a year now, coming in from the Independent side of Fellowship. Her room is spacious with its own large bathroom. MC has a real home like feel to it, far from the institutional feel of other memory care facilities. The staff is like family, they joke with the residents, knowing their various personalities and I have the sense that they truly enjoy being with the residents. I am also quite impressed by the non-Memory Care staff as well. They know whom your loved one is and show a real concern for their well being. During the current Covid 19 crisis, I felt every measure was being taken to ensure the well being of all the residents and staff. It has given me such peace of mind to know my mother is safe and well cared for.”

– T. S. McEntee

“You can look at facilities all day, every day, but the heart of Fellowship Village is the caring, conscientious, tireless, professional staff. For the last 16 years, my mother has lived in all areas from Independent Living to her current home in Memory Care. I now have my husband, who has advanced dementia, in a room right next to Mom’s. Prior to COVID, I would visit several times a week. I can say, unequivocally, the staff treats the residents like whole people who deserve to have their desires met, their fears eased, their appearance appropriate, clean, and comfortable. The staff learns and accommodates the residents likes and dislikes of food, which dining table where the resident is most comfortable, which chair the resident likes in the living room, etc. They know no size fits all! The rooms are spacious and private; the menus are varied and tasty; decorations go up for each holiday; there are parties for residents alone, as well as with families; the Enrichment Staff brings music, art, and discusses current events along with remembering moments in history. Once a week, weather permitting, the residents who are physically able and interested are taken on a nice bus ride. They enjoy those outings! Having two of the most important people in my family at Fellowship Village, I interact with the staff regularly. They are good people!”

“My name is Laura Campbell and my mother, Astry Campbell was a resident at Fellowship Village for almost 5 years. My mother died January 24, 2018 surrounded by people who cared for her. Mom’s health started to significantly decline a year ago and she agreed to hospice care last October. The last 5 months, mom was bed bound and her end of life would have been miserable had it not been for her exceptional healthcare team. I am writing this letter to sing the praises of the staff at Fellowship Village, her hospice team, and in particular, her round the clock aides, Blanca, Anna and Miriam. My mother had a special bond with each of her aides and they provided above and beyond care to ensure she was as comfortable as possible. Mom could be difficult to please, but she never complained about these gals, always stating her care was exceptional. Her aides comforted her physically, emotionally and spiritually. Mom’s hospice nurse, Alaina Nemes and social worker Michelle Cicala were second to none. They patiently listened to mom, supported her, revised her care plan as her needs changed, and kept her children well informed throughout the process. My sister Brenda and I are both RNs and my brother Scott is a physician. We understand how difficult it is to work in healthcare, but these professionals set the bar high. We developed a kindred sisterhood relationship with Alaina, she made us laugh during a difficult time. It provides great comfort knowing our mother was treated with dignity and respect. She died peacefully with 2 of her beloved aides, Blanca and Miriam, in addition to Alaina and Michelle at her side. On a final note, my sister and I appreciate the unwavering time and kindness showed by Phylis Tranotti throughout mom’s stay at Fellowship. She cheerfully addressed every concern we had timely and professionally. Thank you all for putting love and kindness into healthcare.”
